Experience and ongoing monitoring

Quad personnel have carried through 12 campaigns and 27 surveys over 20 years. The first gravity & subsidence survey was carried out on the giant Troll field in 1998. Since then, seven fields on the Norwegian continental shelf have commenced monitoring programs, and all projects are currently active.

Snohvit gas field

Statoil is operator and GDF SUEZ, Petoro, RWE Dea and Total are partners. Production start 21.08.2000. Water depth is 310-340 m, reservoir depths are around 2300 m below sea surface. The field is produced from sub-sea templates and a 160 km long pipeline to the processing facility at Melkøya. CO2 is piped back and re-injected downflank.
