With geothermal capacity and demand growing globally, technology capable of providing geophysical measurements in high temperature boreholes is quite valuable.

Quad is capable of measuring in situ deformations associated with well pressurization, helping characterize a geothermal province’s fracture distribution and the connections among fluid paths.  Being fabricated entirely from glass and metal components, our optical tiltmeters, seismometers, and strainmeters are capable of withstanding temperatures up to 300 deg. C — there is no need for downhole electronics.
